Frequently Asked
Questions

Don't see an answer to your question below? Please get in touch! I would be happy to assist you.

Q: What kinds of products do you offer?

A: I offer a variety of products and services, both customized and pre-made to suit every taste and budget!

The majority of my pre-made products are of purebred dogs but you may occasionally see mixed breeds and other animal merch in stock, especially horses and cats.

As of January 2026, availability is limited due to a revamp of my portfolio.

Q: How do I order custom art?

A: Please refer to my “How To Order” page for more information on ordering custom artwork. The process is broken down into easy steps to make it as stress-free as possible for my customers!

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: I do! An additional shipping fee is charged for all shipments outside of the United States. You will be given an estimate before paying any deposit, and will be given the full correct amount due once your completed order has been packaged and weighed. Most orders are packaged and shipped together in the case of multiple products. You may choose whether you want combined pre-made and custom orders shipped together or not.

Q: Do you draw pets who have passed away?

A: Yes! Memorial portraits are a fantastic way to honor the memory of a beloved pet and the joy they bring their owners is unmatched. I understand that high-quality photos may be less accessible in these situations, and that’s okay! Just ask and I will see what I can do.

Q: How do I pay?

A: I accept PayPal and Venmo for online purchases. These transactions are currently arranged privately, with third-party fees applying to me as the seller instead of you as the buyer. All relevant taxes and shipping fees within the United States are already included in the price of your order. Additional shipping fees, however, do apply to my customers in other countries.

Q: Do you draw from photos?

A: I usually reference at least some aspects of an animal from photos, but depending on what I'm trying to achieve with the art I don't always work to get it exactly the same. Realistic colored pencil and/or watercolor portraits are the only time where I reference exactly from the photo. The finished portrait matches the photo very closely and is highly-detailed but tends to resemble an artistic style similar to a painting as opposed to an exact copy of a photo. See my gallery for examples!

Q: How long will my order take?

A: I ask for 2-6 weeks to complete most custom art once the 50% deposit has been received, depending on what is requested. If you want to order a drawing for someone as a gift, please keep this in mind and plan ahead. If you need a portrait finished quickly I may be able to expedite your order for an additional fee.

Q: Can you draw any animal?

A: Yes! I can draw fur, feathers, skin, and even scales. I welcome inquiries for pets, livestock, and even wildlife of all kinds.

Q: Do you draw people too?

A: I am not accepting commissions for any artworks containing people at this time, though this may change in the future.

Q: How does your waiting list work?

A: I fullfill orders on a first-come, first-serve basis. When I have bookings preceeding yours you will need to be placed on my waiting list.

I require a 25% deposit in order to secure your place on my waiting list. It’s important to note that the booking you reserve is for the start time of the commission. For example, if you are reserved for September then your order will be started at this time. It may not be in your hands until October.

If my bookings are full or you wish to wait, signing up for my mailing list or following me on my social media accounts are the best way to receive status updates.

Q: Can I book months in advance?

A: Yes, you can! If you are ordering a gift for someone it’s recommended that you plan well ahead of time. Digital files alone have a much shorter turnaround time than the time required to manufacture and ship any physical items. You are welcome to book months or even a year ahead of time, as long as bookings are open.

Q: How long will my artwork last?

A: The materials I use for my commerical work are chosen based on exceptional quality and durability. Original colored pencil portraits are likely to retain their original quality for decades if taken care of properly, while other items such as keychains and stickers may not last as long due to normal wear and tear. Acrylic keychains always have an epoxy coating to add extra durability.

Q: What materials do you use?

A: Because I'm a multimedia artist I work with both digital and traditional media. The majority of my available merch is produced digitally and if printed are done either by myself or by reputable third party companies.

Traditionally, I work with multiple brands of professional-grade colored pencils, all with the highest lightfastness ratings: Faber-Castel Polychromos, Derwent Drawing, Prismacolor Premier, Caran D’Ache Pablo, and Caran D’Ache Luminence. For certain pieces I will sometimes use PanPastels, especially to create blurry backgrounds.

I also work with professional-grade papers, including Clairefontaine Pastelmat and Strathmore Bristol Vellum 500. Both of these are archival quality and acid-free. Completed drawings are coated with a few protective layers of KRYLON Workable Fixatif to prevent smudging and to enhance their overall appearance.

Q: Do portraits and prints include a frame?

A:  They do not. I’ve found that it almost always works out better for my customers when they purchase the frames themselves. Shipping is significantly more expensive when there is a frame involved as this adds a substantial amount of weight to what would otherwise be a relatively light shipment.

Portraits are always shipped gift-wrapped and look great right out of the box. If you still insist on having a frame included with your order please ask and we can discuss what will work best for you.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: Yes. I accept weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly payments with 0% interest for orders over $100. As with all other commissions I require a 25% deposit to hold your spot on my waiting list. Your spot will be secured on the day your payments total 25%.

Another 25% down payment is required before starting work. You will only receive unwatermarked access to your commissioned piece once I have been paid in full. PayPal also offers flexible payment plans.

Q: Can I order a custom size?

A: Yes, you can! At the moment I offer 2.5x3.5, 8x10, 11x14, and 16x20 inch sizes for my custom portrait orders. If you're wanting a custom size cut for you please contact me to discuss availability. Larger sizes may have to be ordered in which will increase the waiting period slightly.
